Mental Health in society sits atop of a bundle of triggering issues that we all face day-to-day. My battles are with substance abuse, which led to a dark and destructive mindset. I found, when I was finally encouraged and felt safe to talk openly with others about my struggles, I found my true self and my mental health and confidence improved. People around me began opening up about the issues they needed to, or wanted to, and this is where I realised the true power in open-conversation.
The ripple effect from here can change lives, and is one of the many reasons WHY I started WHiYOU.
